As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for a: Commissioning Engineer - Electro for an exciting project at Mongstad .

The project will initially follow a 4-day workweek schedule and transition to a 14/21 rotation after Easter.
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?
• Execute commissioning activities in accordance with project procedures and safety standards
• Ensure safe energization and functional testing of electrical installations
• Perform system walkdowns and verify completion of outstanding work before handover
• Commission systems in line with project milestones and client expectations
• Work closely with construction, engineering and operations to resolve commissioning issues
• Support integrated commissioning across disciplines
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation (test records, punch lists, handover packages)
• Participate in planning and progress meetings with updates on status and challenges

We think you should have:
• Must have 2 + years experience in Completion work within oil/gas industry.
• Must have 2+ years experience with ProCoSys and DCP (Digital Commissioning Procedure) module
• Field experience with commissioning activities
• Familiarity with the Mongstad refinery
• Experience preparing commissioning procedures
• Process knowledge and understanding of control systems
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Certificate of Apprenticeship, or bachelor’s/master’s degree
